If you're using buccal film, make sure to follow these instructions:

  • In the area where you will insert the film, use your tongue to wet the side of your cheek or rinse your mouth with water.

  • Cut or rip the film only when absolutely necessary. Use a clean, dry finger to hold the film. Hold Bunavail® with the text (BN2, BN4, or BN6) facing up if you're using it.

  • Place the film's inside-out side against your cheek. Place Bunavail® against the inside of your cheek with the text (BN2, BN4, or BN6).

  • 5 seconds after pressing the film, hold it in place.

  • Allow the film to disintegrate before removing it. It should not be handled, moved, chewed, or swallowed in any way.

  • Place the second film on the other side of your mouth if you must use more than one film. At no time can more than two buccal films be applied to the inside of one cheek.

  • Wait until the film is completely dissolved before eating or drinking anything.

If you're taking a sublingual tablet, make sure to follow these instructions:

  • It should not be sliced, chewed, or swallowed.

  • Submerge the tablet in your mouth until it dissolves.

  • Place all of the tablets beneath the tongue in separate areas at the same time if you're taking 2 or more tablets at once.

  • If this causes discomfort, insert two tablets under the tongue at a time and continue until all of the tablets have been consumed.

  • Wait until the tablets are thoroughly dissolved before eating or drinking anything.

If you're going to use a sublingual film, make sure to follow these instructions:

  • Place the film on your tongue and chew it until it dissolves.

  • Place the new film on the opposite side of the original film if you need to take another.

  • Wait until the film is completely dissolved before eating or drinking anything.

  • After inserting the film beneath the tongue, do not cut, chew, swallow, or move it.

  • Before changing dosage forms (films, tablets, etc.) or dosage strengths, consult your doctor beforehand. These kinds are extremely dissimilar.
